Grande Jorasses Traverse
The ascent through the Dent du Géant couloir was fine. A couple of loose rocks, but nothing major/serious. The Ridge to bivac Canzio was in good conditions. Sometimes it's easier to walk just beside the ridge. Second day: no verglas in the morning to Point Young. Climbing in big boots was very doable. We took the Walker descent. The serac looked fine. The crevasses in the upper part of the glacier are opening though. Some sketchy passages. We saw multiple parties in the dark that took quite a long time for the glacier sequences. The last four rappels are a bit shorter that you might expect. While descending, the first one is to your right, the others to your left. Conditions: 5 stars for the ascent, 3 stars for the descent. Enjoy!
