The knowledge of mountain dynamics in the context of climate change is the basis of any socio-economic development linked to the territory.

Through a path that will involve different disciplinary sectors from the monitoring techniques to the mitigation actions of the risks connected to mountain phenomena, candidates will be able to learn the relationship that binds man to the mountain.

The complementary activities will instead address the issue of safety and health in the mountain environment, bringing participants who wish to measure their physical conditions with the help of mountain medicine.

In a mountain environment, it is essential to understand iterations between man and the environment that surrounds him from several perspectives and points of view.

It is useful to understand how they can evolve over the years, influenced by climate change. The proposed activities try to create a solid knowledge of the principal phenomena that characterize mountain environments related to the mitigation actions that can limit the risks associated. Moreover, through a personal path, participants, guided by experts of these environments, will receive elements of self-awareness to improve their behavior. This learning method is one of the innovations of the proposal that can make it particularly attractive for international students. As well as, they will combine their knowledge with the high-level engineering training of the Politecnico and elements of soft-skill and self-learning.

Finally, with the support of local authorities, participants will have the opportunity to deepen the socio-economic dynamics that these phenomena exert on local communities.
